Caesura: A World Premiere Production

by Tim Backes

Directed by Tim Backes

Performs October 10th - 19th, 2025 at Resurrection Lutheran Church.

CAESURA: A break or interruption in a conversation, a line of verse, or a song. Usually a caesura means total silence, but not for long. After the death of her father, with whom she was on uneven terms, Emma Hitchens stays away from her midwestern home town for more than two years. But now she’s reluctantly back, as the school where he became a legendary choral director is looking to dedicate a new arts wing in his name. The return home forces her to confront the complexities and challenges of her relationships with her mother and brother. All the while, she is haunted by the specter of her father in a series of recurring nightmares that emphasize the weight her unexplored grief has had on her during this interruption in her life.

Of Thread and Thorn: A Shakespeare Shakeup

By R.M. Laberge

Directed by Kimberly Laberge

Performs May 15th - 24th, 2026 at Inspiration Studios.

A brand-new, contemporary play using repurposed text by William Shakespeare. Sisters, Portia, Imogen, and Celia, contend with who they have become and who they once dreamed they would be. This tight-knit ensemble explores the dynamics and individual struggles of the three women in their teens, thirties, and fifties as they each seek to build true friendships with one another and find peace between the lives they were handed, and those they have created for themselves.
